Document sortable? view-hint
Reported by Kieran P | February 27th, 2010 @ 03:28 AM | in Hobo 1.1
Just saw the 1.0 release. Looking good. First time using it. Still going through the manual, but initial tests look like Hobo doesn't make any assumptions about a position field in the data.
If there is a position field, can it automatically sort using it? i.e.
SORT position ASC
That would make list type applications more useful.
It's simple enough to add a default_scope, but it Hobo can do it.... one less thing to have to worry about ^_^

- Milestone set to Hobo 1.0 - Final
I'm going to hijack your bug instead of marking it resolved, because something even better already exists in Hobo. There's a ViewHint called sortable? that's not documented. If set, the collection is treated as sortable. Of course, then you must manually add the required reorder controller action. See http://cookbook.hobocentral.net/api_tag_defs/sortable-collection for more information.
