"Removing" Animation never ends.

Using Rails 3.0 and Hobo 1.3, I have encountered the following problem in multiple development sites using multiple machines/OS/browsers.
On Edit pages that have Delete Object buttons, clicking the button causes an animation with white text and a white circle-snake (whatever you call it) on a black background to appear in the upper left corner of the page and NEVER go away (at least for as long as I have patience to wait). The underlying Edit page is retained as well.
After manually changing pages and returning to the appropriate index, the deleted object has indeed been removed.
