Duplicate flash messages

In Hobo 1.0.1, flash messages are displayed multiple times on a page.

Back in the CHANGES.txt for Hobo 0.8, it says:

" will include the flash messages at the top of the section unless they are rendered by a sub-section or have been rendered already"

This does not appear to be working.
