Should subsites have their own front page/controller?
Reported by Iain | November 8th, 2009 @ 10:34 PM
When subsites are generated, should they also have a /front controller generated automatically to act as a subsite root page? (and a route added similar to "map.connect '', :controller => '/front', :action => 'index'")
Currently when you generate your hobo app a front controller is created for the "bottom level" site, but not for subsites. It's not hard to add one but I would have expected hobo to generate one, and it seems inconsistent with the way that the "bottom-level" sites are made.

AFAICT, the front controller for the subsite is optional. The tutorial (draft copy: http://groups.google.com/group/hobousers/browse_thread/thread/ad0d3...) includes instructions on how to create one. The tutorial will be posted when we release the next gem (real soon now, I hope). Is that sufficient to close this bug?

It's not a special generator -- it's the same front generator. It just works for both. :)
