in-place editor checks permission in a strange way

Suppose that a model with a field named :notes.
In order for the in-place editor to work, the update_permitted method shall be:
def update_permitted?
return none_changed? || only_changed?(:notes)
end
Without none_changed? the editor will never allow the edition of the field.
Probably this issue should be highlighted in the manual.
