  Hey Tom, could you explain what you want here? Looking at the code, it appears that searches are performed on all models that the user has permission to view/link that have searchable columns.

  Sorry for the not very clear ticket name. This issue concerns the search scope in automatic_scopes.rb, not the "site wide" search.

  Looking at the code, search doesn't handle any sort of associations, so this is an enhancement rather than a defect.

  The impetus comes because this is used in table plus. Users expect to be able to search every column in a table.
