Explanatory descriptions for fields

It would be nice to be able to define explanatory text for fields to be displayed under the input elements, e.g.
fields do name :string phone_number :string, :note => 'Please enter your number with full international dialling code' end
I realise you can do this through a custom page but this seems much easier.
Perhaps the model isn't the most logical place for such attributes though.
