Yep still broken for me. E.g. the markup
<ul> <li>One</li> <ul> <li>Two</li> </ul> </ul>
Renders as shown in attachment

Oh, I see the difference. My test was:
<ul> <li> u1</li> <li><ul> <li> u2-1 </li> <li> u2-2 </li> </ul></li> <li> u3</li> </ul>
which renders fine.
Your code is not valid HTML. Do you still want it fixed?
