Section "A Challenge" seems disconnected from chapter one and two

The section "A Challenge" doesn't seem to glue with the last
paragraph of chapter one ("From now on weʼll
dispense with all the highbrow pontificating and teach you how to
make stuff. Enjoy!").
It also doesn't seem to connect with the passing from chapter one to chapter 2.
Because it talks about a challenge that a user will be able to win after reading the book, should this section be placed in a prelude?

You are right. I had that in the introduction before Tom wrote his.
Yes, I think the idea of a Prelude is a good one...
