Notes ticket status

New tickets will have the status, um, new:

• New. This is the "inbox" - tickets we've not looked at yet

When someone takes a look at the ticket, it will be changed to one of:

• Investigating. We're not yet sure if this is an issue that needs addressing or not. E.g. we need to confirm if we can replicate the bug.
• Open. The ticket is accepted. This is the to-do list.
• Wontfix. We don't think the issue needs to be addressed. Please take it up in the forums if you think we're wrong!

The other closed states are

• Resolved. The issue has been addressed
• Hold. We want to deal with this issue, but it has to wait for some reason
• Duplicate. The ticket in question should be linked in the comments

Tags

Please tag each ticket with one of:

• defect
• enhancement
• question (some design question that needs answering)
• clean-up (cruft that needs getting rid of)
• doc
• tests

Tickets not tagged with one of these will show up in the "Missing ticket-type" bin
